Persephone

Since the rise of Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series, I found myself intrigued by the tale of Persephone. A woman trapped in a place she could never call home. I guess, in a way, I felt the same; both physically trapped and mentally trapped by forces I couldn't fight back against.

This piece represents Persephone and the cold world she resides in, but she's not trapped forever. The sunlight still reaches the coldest and darkest of places.
