PURSUIT OF JUSTICE

"Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." This is just a fragment of the Pledge that American school students recite every day. But what does it mean? Because today, it feels like it means diddly squat. Where is the life we were promised? The life that we were told was nearly a guarantee. 

This piece represents my own personal rage, not only as an American, but as a woman. When it feels like my country has turned its back on me, has stripped me of rights, I turn to art. My own Justice.
